In terms of my own art, video was always an afterthought.  As I learned more about the power of the image, I began to realize that video could open up a new dimension to my art and convey ideas in ways beyond the limitations of still images.  The possibilities truly became endless.

In each video, there exists a theme that is seemingly didactic.  Yet when one thinks they know the answer, new questions arise.  To whom am I addressing in Engaging the World?  Is struggle really the natural state of the universe?  Why is IceJJFish still making music?  These themes, while they could possibly be explored in-depth via the still image, it is only through video that they can be fully fleshed out.
